Fred Johnson (b. 1878 - d. 1945) was born in Sweden on August 6, 1878. His parents were John Johnson and Maria Johnson, both born in Sweden, dates unknown.
Fred immigrated to Illinois sometime between 1900-1902 and was naturalized as a U.S. citizen. He and his sister, Anna, came to Prescott, Arizona for his sister' health. In the 1930 and 1940 U.S. Census records, it appears he and his sister were single, as he was at the time of his death. These census records state he was a painter and contractor. Fred was an interior decorator for the Hassayampa Hotel in Prescott.
Fred had a niece, Mrs. Eva Downing, who lived in Oakland, California.
Handwriting on photograph reads: "Fred Johnson of Prescott, Arizona about 1902-1911".
Fred died on February 26, 1945 in Prescott. He was buried at Rolling Hills Cemetery in Prescott.
