Description

Almira Leubke (b.1885 - d.1976) was born in Wisconsin on February 14, 1885. Her parents were Herman Fredrick Wilhelm Luebke, born in Germany in 1849 and Emilie Lanzendorf Luebke, born in Wisconsin in 1844.

Almira was a Kindergarten teacher in the Prescott, Arizona public schoolsfrom 1910 on. She is listed on the Yavapai County, Arizona Voting Record in 1918 and the US Prescott 1920 census as age 30, a boarder at Harry Brisley's home and a public school teacher. She is listed on the US Pasadena, California Census in 1930 as age 60, a lodger and never married.

Handwriting on back of photograph reads: "Almira Leubke, Kindergarten teacher in Prescott, taken in Pasadena. A teacher in the public schools in about 1910 on".

Almira died on December 31, 1976 in Los Angeles, California. She is buried in Union Cemetery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
