Albert Osgood Noyes (b. 1826 - d. 1898) was a Prescott businessman who owned the first sawmill in Yavapai County, the Quartz Mountain Sawmill, located on the banks of Granite Creek. Born in Maine, Noyes traveled to California during the Gold Rush of 1849 but decided to try his luck instead in Arizona. He realized the demand for lumber because the first buildings in Prescott were constructed out of logs, so he and George Lount established Prescott's first sawmill, beginning in March 1864. In 1867 Noyes and Lount took on a new partner, George Whitfield Curtis.
Noyes is also known for the construction of the Diana Saloon, located on the corner of Gurley and Montezuma Streets at the present location of St. Michael's Hotel.
