Alaska Claim at the Congress-Martinez Mining District, ca. 1915. The Alaska Mine was a gold mine located in Yavapai County, Arizona at an elevation of 3,219 feet. It was 0.7 miles southwest of the main shaft of the Congress Mine and was associated with the Sullivan Mine Commodities. It first went into production in 1904. The mine's last year of production was 1936. Gold was the primary mineral obtained from the mine, silver was secondary, and lead and zinc were tertiary or lesser-obtained gravels.
