Jeb Rosebrook is well-known as the screenwriter of the 1972 motion picture Junior Bonner, set in Prescott, Arizona. He came to Prescott as a nine-year-old boarding student and attended the Orme School. He was a novelist before turning to screenwriting and wanted to a tell a story of Prescott and Yavapai County and its history and rodeo culture. Rosebrook wrote the script for Junior Bonner in 1970, and the film was made in Prescott during the summer of 1971. Junior Bonner features Steve McQueen and Barbara Leigh in its cast and was directed by Sam Peckinpah.
