View of Barbara Leigh, Steve McQueen, and Sam Peckinpah at Prescott's World's Oldest Rodeo during the production of the film Junior Bonner during the summer of 1971. Steve McQueen played the lead role of Junior Bonner; Leigh played his girlfriend, and Peckinpah directed the movie. The Rodeo Committee's accommodation of the film crew's needs during filming gave the picture an authenticity rarely seen in rodeo movies. Junior Bonner is considered a Western classic and brought Prescott's rodeo to the silver screen.
