Description

Mining Camp, Senator District, Bradshaw Mountains, Yavapai County, Arizona. The Senator Mine and adjoining mill was located about 10-12 miles south of Prescott, Arizona at an elevation of 6,749 feet, on the north side of Mount Union in the Bradshaw Mountains. It was best known as a gold property, but its primary production was lead and zinc, with lesser amounts of silver and copper. The Senator Mine was discovered in the 1860s and was one of the longest successful mining operations even though Apache Indian attacks halted work there from time to time.
