Mine and Mill, Prescott, Arizona. Hand-tinted post card showing workings of a mine and mill. The location is presumed to have been in the Senator Mining District, Bradshaw District, Yavapai County, Arizona. The Senator District was located about 10 miles south of Prescott, Arizona at an elevation of 6,749 feet, on the north side of Mount Union. The District was situated near the headwaters of the Hassayampa River, and the mines in the area were located near the Hassayampa River as it flowed toward the town of Wickenburg. Most of the area mines were characterized as gold properties, but mining for lead and zinc, with lesser amounts of silver and copper, were also common.
