Caption at bottom of the photograph says: "The Commercial Mining CO. (Senator) Hassayampa District. 20 Stamp Mill, Amalgamation and Concentration," c. 1903.
The inset photo in the upper right corner is noted on the back of the picture, it says: "In insert a wet rocker is used in placering for gold."
A Commercial Mining Company, agent J. S. Douglas, filed an application for a patent for 1000 linear feet of the Great Divide mine. This photograph may pertain to that mine.
According to an article in the Arizona Weekly Journal-Miner, Oct 17, 1900, p. 4, that patent was for a “vein bearing gold and silver, with surface ground 600 feet in width, situated in Hassayampa mining district, county of Yavapai, and Territory of Arizona.”
