Description

Monarch Camp, Bradshaw Mountains, Yavapai County, Arizona Territory.

Pictured are crude tent-like lodgings and mill at the Monarch Mine, a lode mine located in the Black Rock Mining District, Yavapai County, Arizona Territory, at an elevation of 4,790 feet. The mine’s main commodity was gold with tertiary production of copper and lead.

The Monarch Mine was above the Monarch Wash area and its’ discovery was credited to a Mr. Rylander. The mine’s years of production were from approximately 1908 to 1944.
