The Beebe Mine Shaft, property of the Baumann Copper Company, Yavapai County, Arizona. It was one of the twenty five mining claims (500 acres) in the Agua Fria section of the Bradshaw Range owned by the Company. The claims followed a northwest-southeasterly coursing spur of the Black Hills, and at an elevation of about 500 feet above the Agua Fria River (two miles away.) The so-named “Verde Copper Belt” was fifteen miles east of Prescott and extended from Jerome on the north and Copper Mountain on the south.
According to an article in the May 17, 1904 edition of The Mining Reporter, "On the Beebe claim there are several hundred feet of workings at no greater depth than 65 feet. Assays of surface ores in the immense iron dike were 18% copper. In these workings there is a good showing of copper ores, an average of which is perhaps 10% copper and several dollars in gold."
