Two men outside a shaft at the Barbara Mine property, Yavapai County, Arizona, ca. 1930's. The Barbara property consisted of eight claims located three miles east of Mayer, Yavapai County, Arizona in the Copper Mountain area. The original property was taken over by the Monte de Cobra investors in 1918. At that time there were three shafts, including a 340 foot tunnel and a cut 70 feet deep. New development plans included sinking a new 300 foot deep shaft, new equipment being purchased, and upgrades to the mining camp infrastructure.
