The U.S. Army Quartermaster Depot supplied 14 frontier forts 1862-83 from this site. Stone reservoir at left provided water for 900 mules quartered here. Buildings and property which the Assistance League of Yuma, Arizona has restored were occupied by the Customs Service 1891-1955.
