Tucked away atop famous Yarnell Hill in a natural setting of massive boulders, Mountain oak, and holly, stands the Shrine of St. Joseph of the Mountains.
Conceived and created by Felix Lucero, a veteran of World War I, who devoted 20 years to carving figures in the fulfillment of a vow made duing nine days of isolation in No Man's Land, stands this symbol to one man's devotion to Christ and Christian way of life.
Depicted here, are the scenes surrounding the last days of Christ's life.
