Description

The memorial to the Boeing B-17G "Flying Fortress" bomber, which crashed into Mount Tom in Holyoke, Massachusetts on July 9, 1946, killing all 25 crew members on board. Two members of the Army Air Corps were from Prescott, Arizona - the pilot, Flight Officer Herman (Joe) Valdrini, Jr. and Radio Operator Sergeant Daniel Roberts (Pat) Roe.
