View of Montana Hotel in Jerome, Arizona. It appears to be on the north side of town, at or near the Perkinsville Road and near the open mining pit.

In 1899 William A. Clark of Montana, began the construction of the Montana Hotel “for the comfort of his miners." The architect was F. H. Perkins of Phoenix, Arizona. Clark was a U. S. Senator and Montana mining expert. By 1900 the Hotel had been completed. On February 28, 1915, fire completley destroyed the hotel. Faulty electrical wiring was sited as the cause.
