Information from the back of the photograph states: Mrs. Massey and her son, Joe Massey, lived there in 1877. Joe shot a Mexican boy, Ramon, killing him instantly. Then occupied by A. J. Mason and family; then Hawkes, the land special agent in 1890 or 1891. Later, D. J. Sullivan and John Dougherty residence. Sold to Catholic priests in 1892.
The house was located on Marina Street in Prescott, Arizona.
