East side of the third and current Yavapai County Courthouse.
In October 1916, the cornerstone was laid and construction began on the $223,753 Courthouse. The architect was William N. Bowan of Denver, Colorado for a structure 90x150 feet. The construction contract was given to Rogers and Ashton of Denver. The courthouse was built in the Doric style; the exterior is Prescott granite and the interior is reinforced concrete. It has all-steel framework and a copper roof. The 800 pound bell from the old courthouse was installed. The courthouse was completed in early 1918.
