Description

Detail of Gold Nugget Speakeasy.

The Gold Nugget was a Prohibition-era speakeasy located in the basement of Moore's Laundromat at 228 South Montezuma. The secret entrance was through a trapdoor in the floor.  This series of photos shows the ruins of the speakeasy in the year 2000.

The Moore's Laundromat building was razed in 2022, and the speakeasy apparently with it.
