View of Fort Whipple, where Dr. George Emory Goodfellow (b. 1855 - d. 1910) served as assistant surgeon during the 1870s. He treated injuries from gunshot and stab wounds to accidents involving explosives, wagons, and horses. In 1880, Goodfellow terminated his army contract and opened his own medical practice in Tombstone, where he treated Virgil and Morgan Earp for gunshot wounds from the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral.
