ARTHUR WHEELOCK UPSON  (b. January 10, 1877 – d. August 14, 1908) was born in Camden, New York, and moved with his family to St. Paul, Minnesota in 1894.

Upson was a well-known poet in his era, and published several books of his own poetry.  He was a friend and correspondent of Sharlot Hall. 

Arthur Upson drowned after falling from his boat on Lake Bemidji in Minnesota.  It was speculated, though never established, that he committed suicide.
