Description

The Raible family is shown at a picnic in the Granite Dells area of Prescott, Arizona.

John Raible (b. 1834 - d. 1899) was born in Germany in 1834 (or 1838) and died June 23, 1899 in Prescott, Arizona. He is buried in Citizens Cemetery,  Prescott. His wife,  Wilhelmina, was born in Germany in 1847. John and Wilhelmina Wurth (or Wuerth) were married October 16, 1873. They had three children: Inez (Raible) Fletcher, Charles Raible and Augusta (Raible) Knight.

John Raible came to Prescott in 1864. He and his partner, Dan Hatz, built the Fleury log house in west Prescott, the first territorial Capitol building. Quoting the Arizona Journal-Miner, "He was one of the pioneer brewers of Prescott, and before the advent of railroads did a wholesale business in that line."
