Description

Margaret "Maggie" Ann (Simmons) Dearing (b. 1861 - d. 1945) was born in Kansas in October 1861. She was the daughter of Thomas Wilson Simmons, born June 26, 1837 in Arkansas and Cynthia Catherine Hawkins, born in Texas, year unknown.

She married William Anderson Dearing, a stock raiser in Yavapai County, Arizona, in 1879. They had six children: Claude Wilkins Dearing (b. 1880 - d. 1890), Elmer Aud Dearing (b. 1882 - d. 1883), Mary Grace (Dearing) Kelly (b. 1885 - d. 1969), John Walker Dearing (b. - d. 1889), William Anderson Dearing (b. 1892 - d. 1909), and Jesse Morgan Dearing (b. 1900 - d. 1980).

Margaret died in San Diego County, California on January 12, 1945.

She was buried in the Arizona Pioneers Home Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
