Description

Elizabeth "Bessie" Lloyd Blandy (b. 1859 - d. 1932) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to  Sarah (Lloyd) Blandy and John Fredrick Blandy on April 13, 1859.  She moved to the Arizona Territory with her sister Frances (Blandy) Claypool in 1890 to set up a home for their recently widowed father who had been appointed as the geologist of the Arizona Territory.  She was an artist and teacher of watercolors.  She was active in the founding of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Prescott, Arizona and was a member of the Old Maids Club, the General George Crook Chapter of the Daughters of the American Rvolution, the Colonial Dames, and the Daughters of the American Colonies.  Blandy never married.  She died on November 15, 1932 in San Bernardino, California.
