Evelyn Lenora (Mackin) Grayner Del Marsh Zuchero was born November 19, 1902, in Prescott, Yavapai County, Arizona Territory, the daughter of Peter and Alvina (Bennett) Mackin. "We Mackin children," she recalled, "used to walk the two miles to and from school each day, often times through snow and cold."

Evelyn attended St. Joseph's Academy. After graduation, she started working for the Head Lumber Company where she worked for more than twenty-five years as the bookkeeper.  She also worked for Tarr, McComb and Ware in Prescott. She was affiliated with the Moose Lodge, served as secretary of the Prescott Garden Club and was a member of the Sacred Heart Church. In addition, she worked at the Prescott Courier.

She married three times and was widowed each time.  She first wed Glen George Grayner on December 24, 1923, in Prescott.  He died on August 21, 1925, in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona.  She married Don Del Marsh in 1938. He died February 24, 1946, in Prescott.  Then in 1955, Evelyn married Dominick Zuchero. He died in January 1, 1962, in Prescott.

Evelyn died in November 14, 1969 and was buried in Mountain View Cemetery.

Her mother, Alvina (Bennett) Mackin, and her grandmother, Alvina Maria (Rodriguez) Bennett, are also commemorated in the Territorial Women’s Memorial Rose Garden.
