Description

Alice May Isler (b. 1879 – d. ?) was born May 19, 1879 in the Arizona Territory. She was the daughter of John Jacob Isler (b. October 7, 1842 in Zurich, Switzerland – d. May 12, 1926 in Dickinson, Kansas) and his wife, Elizabeth Whitehair.  They were married August 8, 1873 in Junction City, Geary, Kansas.

In the 1880 Federal Census for Yavapai County, Arizona Territory, the family was living on Granite Street, Prescott and her father’s occupation was shown as a farmer.  A second daughter, Josephine, was born in 1877 (and died in 1961). Three other children were also born: Louis Henry Isler (1883-1964); Clara Isler (b. 1866); and Otto Isler (1891-1918). In 1900, the family was living in Hayes Township, Dickinson, Kansas and in 1910 in Noble Township, Dickinson, Kansas.
