Henkles Camp, Rapid Transit Mine, Bradshaw Mountains, Yavapai County, Arizona Territory, c. 1890's.
The Rapid Transit Property was a copper and gold mine located in Yavapai County, Arizona at an elevation of 5,679 feet.
The diggings.com website (https://thediggings.com/mines/usgs10207564 ) provided the following description: “The Rapid Transit Property, located near Cleator, Arizona, is closely linked to the Tiger Mining District, which is now encompassed by the Prescott National Forest. Currently, the Rapid Transit Property is not operational and there are no known future plans for its reopening. Geologically, the surrounding area is characterized by the Mexican Highland, which is part of the Intermontane Plateaus. This geomorphological feature contributes to the unique landscape and geological formations found in the vicinity of the Rapid Transit Property.”
